Biography
I was born in Beckley in March, 1980, grew up in Coal City, WV, and moved back to Beckley when I was eight years old. In 2000 I enlisted in the United States Air Force. During my tenure in the Air Force, I was stationed in Texas, New Mexico, Kuwait on Sept. 11, 2001, and northern Greenland. I separated from the Air Force in 2005.
Upon my return to Beckley, I enrolled at Concord University and subsequently graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Political Science. I also hold an Associate of Applied Science degree in Financial Management from the Community College of the Air Force.
After graduating I worked at the Brier Patch Golf Links, where I maintained much of the golf course.
On March 1, 2008, I married my lovely wife, the former Shanna Metrick of White Oak, WV, and currently reside at Cool Ridge, WV.
